Placeholders not working right

This is strange. works fine. BUT when I add custom placeholders, they don't appear! i.e., literally appears as that ($my.related-accounting$) on my published template. When I placed it on my 'search results' page, same thing occurs. And, btw - none of the plugins are working on the search results page *except* the copyright and search results. (Headlines don't appear, categories don't appear, header, footer, etc). I hadn't even changed the search results page, so obviously it's been like that from the start. (I only added the my.copyright today, and the word "top headlines" and Category list" to see where they are even supposed to appear) Ideas? I just hit "publish all" to see if maybe somehting needed to be rebuilt... but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. Amber

Adding on to this... I did the 'template placeholder list' and it seems it SHOULD appear properly (http://www.thatsubject.com/index.php you can see the PH list) Here's what I'm trying to do I have over 100 categories/topics, and of course several of them can technically cross-link. However, I don't want to make the topics as sub-topics. So I figured I could then use the "related topics" concept: i.e., Category Accounting Underneath, show: Related Topics: Finance, Investing, (etc). That's what I had done with this one (my.related-accounting). That way, it's exactly on the templates I want, and if I ever need to update that list, I only have to do it in the placeholders and not all the templates. I expect to have different templates for each category - this would be most helpful! Thanks for any help. Amber

Hi Amber! I just learned something new! Neat. Evidently $my.placeholders$ don't work if they have a dash in them. Remove the dash, and it should work fine. :) Donna

(Oh, and just to let you know -- I still had your login details from your last issue, so I fixed this up for you -- the placeholder seems to work now!) Donna
