"Pic of the week" type feature...

.... I'd like to create a 'Pic of the Week' on the main (non-Article Manager) page of my site, and I figure that there must be a way to come up with some sort of simple template that can be inserted as an include inside a table cell, which allows the pic to be updated via the admin interface, with the thumbnail and full size version created automatically, similar to the way it's done in an article page. I'm sure that this must be possible by butchering the embedded media template somehow, but I can't get my head around how one would add / remove / change the picture using the article editor. The template only has to contain this code to simply insert a picture, it doesn't need a caption, nothing but the picture - something like this: Would this work as a template, and how do I automate the changing of the picture by users of the admin interface? Chris

Hi Chris! I think what I'd do here is to create a hidden category with just one article, and upload your image there. Then, you could create a specific publish rule that uses a custom template that would only display the image you'd uploaded. Then, use an SSI to include that article wherever you wanted your picture of the week to appear. If you wanted, you could even create a new article for each one, and keep an archive of old pictures of the week with the category index (and "un-hide" the category.) Does that sound like it would work for you? Donna
