PDF upload timing out Can't Post

I have an article where I publish the school's monthly newspaper. This file is a 16mb PDF. I don't think it is any larger than normal but I haven't taken notice of size in the past. When I attempt to upload it, it times out. Site is at www.meigscounty.net. Is there a file size limitation in ARTMAN that I just haven't noticed before? I attempted the upload from my office (AT&T Metro-E) and from my home (Charter Cable Modem).

Re: [meigsboe] PDF upload timing out [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

If it's timing out, that's more likely to be a limit as to how much your host can handle you uploading, rather than Article Manager. Article Manager can have a file upload limit, but it's one that you would set on a field-by-field basis, and it defaults to off. This would give you a specific error message.

So, most likely it's a limit from your hosting provider, which wouldn't be too unusual -- 16mb is a pretty big file to be uploading via HTTP.

Donna probably right, I had the same problem with pdf files before I moved to a dedicated hosting. My shared hosting had limits.
