Only two categories on front page

Have templates styled and ready to go but now I only want content from a couple categories to display on front page. Just wondering what is the easiest solution, using If tags or can include tags be used. Using one top display area with two column below and then a list of articles below the two. Site has not been populated yet. Link will show what I am talking about at this stage. http://www.grand-ledge.com/publish

Dah! My brain clicked back on. Funny what sleep will do. Remembered you can do this in publishing rules. Sorry to take up the space.
