Navigation question

Ok here's what I am trying to do. I would like to have pages dedicated to a person (1 for John Doe, 1 for Jane Doe, etc.) I would like to have pages dedicated to teams (1 for Alpha Team, 1 for Bravo, etc.) and on that page a list of the people involved with that particular team. Some people are part of multiple teams. I would like to have a page that is a list of all the people and a page that is a list of all the teams. The way I am thinking of accomplishing this is by making a page for each person and then a category for each team (John Doe would have a personal page that is listed under the Alpha Team category). The problem is that I would like to have a parent category called "Teams" that displays a list of all sub categories (Alpha Team, Bravo Team, etc.) and not all the personal pages listed in the sub categories. Is there a way to do this? Or, is there a better way to accomplish what I am trying to accomplish?

Hi there, I think the best way to do this would be pretty much as you've described -- a category for each team, then an article for each person. You could then use a category list to display all of the teams without the specific pages within. You can also assign articles (which would be your people pages) to multiple categories, so that's no problem. Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any questions. :) Donna

OK, so my only question would be how to have the parent category link only display a list of subcategories as opposed to a list of all articles within the sub categories? Does that make sense?

Hi there! Yep! But if you're using a category list... it won't show the articles at all anyway, so you don't have to worry about it displaying articles. :) Donna
