Can you please advise on the steps to take moving a fully configured AM2 site to a new server without having to re-configure everything? Is this possible? Carrie WebGenesis www.webgenesis.com.au

Hi Carrie, Thanks for the post! To move Article Manager to a new server you should be able to just copy all of the files off of the server to your local computer, and then re-upload those files to the new server. From there, you can look at step 7 of the installation documentation to see the permissions you'll want to set on these files on the new server: http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/doc.cgi?/articlemanager2/install/installation.html Next, you'll want to log into Article Manager's admin program and click Admin->Server Settings. You'll want to ensure you modify all of the paths and URLs that are pointing to your old server to ensure that everything is pointing to the right place. The one other thing I'll note is that if you're using a MySQL database in Article Manager, you'll either want to switch back to a flat-file database if you don't have too many articles (Admin->Database Editor). Otherwise, you'll want to talk to your hosting company and work on getting the content from that MySQL database moved to the new server. I hope this helps!
