I have a little problem, i have a category (level 0) that i want to be linked so it shows in the MENU, but i dont want its subcats (level 1) to appear. If i UNLINK the subcats of that level 0 category, they wont show in the menu, but their articles also wont show in the category index. Any way around this?

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do. But here's some options: You might take a look at the different menu formats you can publish your category menu as. There might be one that only shows top level categories or something like that that works for you. Otherwise, you could put some templateIfs in your categoryMenu template to tell it to not display anything for certain category numbers or for categories who had a certain parent number.
