Installation question

Hi Guys, I just purchased Article Manager 2. I know you offer free translation but I always like to do things by myself. It is a challenge for me to learn new things. I already have a site and it has been up for years. I would like to install Article Manager 2 and move my site to AM2 slowly. My question is how to install AM2 without messing the site up. I want to switch to AM2 once I switched all my materials to it. My second question is there is a way to create an option where it allows the title to be either from ltr or rtl? Thanks.

Hi Mano, We actually no longer offer free installations, and upgrades wouldn't have been free anyway... but we can definitely give you a hand with it. However, the upgrade doesn't affect your live site at all, so no special instructions are required. Take a look at the upgrade documentation and follow the directions there. :) As for LTR or RTL, you can set that via the templates, with the "dir" command. It works like this:
(for the whole page.)
(for one paragraph.) I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. :) Donna

Hi Dona, Concerning the free installation, you guys should change your Article Manager email template, it still says "You will need this unique Product ID to download and install the software, or to request your FREE installation." I think I wasn't clear in my email. 1- Is it possible to change only the title of an article to RTL? 2- Concerning the installation. I have a site that is up and running and it doesn't have AM on it. I want to install AM2. My question is if I run the installation script, will my main page will be switched to AM? I want to keep my page as is and swtich my materials to AM2. Thanks, Mano

Hi Mano Thanks for clearing that up! We actually got those emails all sorted out now . As for your questions, I am going to over them each, one at a time: 1. Sure thing. You should actually just need to enter the title in your RTL character set and it will save like that. It's hard to setup a demo specifically for that but if you just take your RTL text and paste it into the title field, that should get you going. 2. Article Manager 2 will be installed to its own folders on your site so it isn't going to be taking over your Article Manager 2 files until you are ready. How does that all sound? Let me know if you have anymore questions . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
