I have added grouped headlines to the home page http://www.tcextra.com/. I want to exclude some of the categories such as classifieds. I have tried modifying the publishing rule for this but can't get the results. Please advise how to do this?

Hi Majeske, Try selecting the "Unlinked - don't link to published files from other categories" in the category menu screen, it's located in the Advanced Options section. This should take it out of the menus. Eric

Thanks, just tried it, but that also takes it out of the navigation menu, and I don't want to remove it from there.

Hi, Thanks for the post! One thing that you could do is tell Article Manager to create the headlines for all categories except the "Classified" category. To do this find your groupedHeadlines.html template file, this file can be found in the /templates/categoryMenus/ directory on your webserver. :) Inside the groupedHeadlines template file find this bit of code:
<!-- templateIf : $category.depth$ == "0" --> and change it to this:
<!-- templateIf : $category.name$ ne "Classified" --> This will tell Article Manager to use show headlines for all other categories except the "Classified" category. After you have made these template changes be sure to re-publish your Grouped Headlines publish rule! Give this a try and if you have any questions I'll be happy to lend a hand. :) Cheers, Chet Woodside - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
