Give access to a single article?

Is it possible to give access to a single article? My website is a guide to places to take 0-18 year olds in the UK, and I'd like to give each location the ability to change their own page, but not change any other. Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe! Yep, you bet. Just give them "Trusted Writer" accounts. Trusted Writers can only access articles they've created themselves. :) Donna

Thanks Donna, that's pretty much what I want. The only thing that I'd like though, is to take away the the two other status options, leaving only pending (or preferably, not show that box at all). If they have the otion of making things visible, I'll have them adding new articles whenever they want, and I only want them to be able to do the one, or at least the ones they have already created, not new ones. Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe, If you'd rather they couldn't create visible articles, you can go with a "Writer" account instead -- this will create 'pending' articles that an Editor or Administrator would have to come and approve. However, they wouldn't be able to go back and edit their existing articles that way. Donna

Is there a way that I could create a replica page after they have logged in, showing only the 'edit article' link? Or maybe a replica log in form, which would then take them to a replica page?

Hi Moonworks, Unfortunately there isn't really a way to mix and match permissions like this. This has been requested in the past by other users, and is on our featured request list, so it's possible that you'll see this in an update of the software. ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
