GD image resizing difficulties

Hi, I have a question regarding GD Image resizing.
In setup I enabled auto image resizing, and set my maximum height and width pixels. I am currently running GD 2.3
When I view articles with images that exceed maximum size, there is NO change:( I tried rebublishing all to see if the images will shrink, but even after publishing all, images are still original size.
How do I ensure images will be resized on both existing, and newly added articles?

Images are only resized when they're uploaded, there is no way to resize them again without uploading them again. I'll add it to the feature request list for you, though.
