Feature Request: define charset in control panel

Hi, is it possible to define the charset in the control panel for article manager? I think it must be very easy to create this feature. In the moment at every update-process I must go through every file fro AM and change the charset from us-ascii to iso-8859-1 or UTF-8 by hand. I think al lot of people outside north america have this problem. Best Regards Hanns http://www.gedichte-garten.de http://www.expertenartikel.de Bester Aufsichtsrat

Hi Hanns Thanks for the email! That does seem like a neat idea so I'll add it to our list. In the meantime, there are a couple things I can think of. First, you could just hardcode an encoding tag onto your interface templates so that the pages all load in UTF-8 by default. Second, would be similar but instead of just hard coding the encoding tag, you would create a My Placeholder and hardcode that into your templates. This way, you could easily change it when you need. Let me know what you think and I can go into more details on the option you like best . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi BlueMoon, Thanks for the feature request. We're actually converting everything to UTF-8 by default for all future releases so no one will have to go through that process again. The next release of Article Manager (currently in beta) will have UTF-8 in all the templates. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
