Category Specific art fields

Is it possible to have different art fields for each category? One of two of my categories need text foields that are not required elsewhere. I've used the Javascript trick to only display fields that actually contain content (which works brilliantly) but I'd like to hide text fields from some categories just to remove any confuson Many thanks Simon

It's not really possible, no. You could try some javascript or templateIf tricks to hide/show certain fields based on what category is selected, but there's no clean simple way that comes to mind. One thing you can do is group the fields together with their sort order in the field editor and edit the top field and add a header bar about that field to make it clear that it's only for certain categories and provide some visual grouping. The "Field Separator - Header Bar" option is the last one on the page when you edit a field. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
