Category Settings Question

I have right now, almost all of my categories set as "root" categories, mainly because for search engine optimization, I don't want them to be root > topic > subtopic, I'd like them to all mainly stay root >topic. Is there a way, to assign them as "subtopics", but to BUILD them as root topics? Example: Assuming Accounting is tecnically a "sub" topic of Finance. Currently, it appears as: http://accounting.thatsubject.com (or, thatsubject.com/accounting). If I set it as a subtopic, would it still be able to appear as thatsubject.com/accounting or is it going to force it to go: thatsubject.com/finance/accounting ? (I'm looking at the simplest way to create the category templates, rather than creating 100+ templates, I'd only have to create maybe 15, as per my other post re: placeholder problems). Amber

Hi Amber, The directory structure doesn't use the parent category by default, just the category name... so you should be fine. :) Donna
