I wil trye the same thing after the install is finish. I wnat to have to pictures. One small ho shal be used for normal articles and one bigger for "spesial" articles I like to have on the to. I think this should be done whit to uploads in the 'add article'. The upload field should be placed over the field for the summary. Do you Int. tools have a good soluting for a AM beginner? Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for the post! You can add images to the summaries of you articles to do this we'll make use of Article Manager's image upload tool! I have outlined the steps to do this below for you :) 1. Login to Article Manager and select 'Create Article', create you article as you normally would. 2. Next select the 'Add or Upload File(s)' link that is in the "Upload Images" section a pop window will be displayed. Use the 'Browse' button to locate the image you would like to upload on your local computer, then select 'Upload' from the bottom right hand side of the screen. :) 3. You will now be on a page called "Modify Upload Attributes", this page has a few attributes set them to the following: --> In the "Caption" field add your caption text. --> Select the "Thumbnail" checkbox if you would only like a thumbnail of your image displayed by default. --> The "Align" dropdown will allow you to select where on the page this image appears (Left, Center, Right) --> The "Link" dropdown lets you decide if this image will be a link and if so whether it is a link to the full sized image or a link to a URL of your choosing. :) After filling in these options select 'Save'. 4. You will now notice that your uploaded image appears in the "Uploaded Images" table, on this table you will see a section called "Placeholder" from inside this section copy: ***image1*** and paste it on the section of your "Summary" where you would like the image to appear. Save your article and you will now have your an image displayed inside the summary of your articles. :) Give this a try and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask! Hi Chet. I know this. This works like for images in articles, but I want to have a separate upload. This way I can place the images where I want, and this way is easier for my writer's. I think I also can see a predefined tumb. size for the uploaded image. The reason I want this is to make something look like the attachment. My plan is to have two fields for summary pictures, and that way I can use them in different ways. One for normal article listing and one for "special" article. Some new solutions?

Well you could certainly just add two upload fields. Would that do the trick? You can add fields here: Admin > Database Editor > Articles > Add Field And add a field with a field type of "upload" and an upload type of "single file". Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

Yes, that is what I want - but I'm a AM beginner and would very much like a tutorial for the hole proses. I think I manage my reach gold - Starting to like AM ;)
