Can't Post

Hello, I have managed hosting which keeps my files back up but I would still like to have my own backed copy in case of emergency. If I ftp a back up of the whole directory of a site and for some reason I lose my stuff at my host, can it article manager software and articles be ftp'ed back in? Or do all the setting have to be re-installed? Just wondering Kimberly

Hi Kimberly, To restore Article Manager, you'll want to have a backup of the following directories: /data/ /templates/ /uploads/ ...and any files you may have modified. (ie, if you've made changes to the stylesheet, or uploaded any files external to Article Manager.) If you're using MySQL, you'll also want to back up your MySQL database. Your hosting provider can let you know how to do that if you're not sure. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. :) Donna
