Article Summaries in Category Headlines

Hi. I would like to publish article summaries from each categories in the Grouped headlines of all category index pages with thumbnails, links, but without breadcrumbs, dates and times. I tried to pasted the embedded media code in the grouped headlines template and the articles for grouped headlines template but nothing worked. How can I go about this?

Hi Harvey.
Thanks for posting!
You can definitely get summaries and all that appearing in your headlines. First thing though, don't worry about the embedded media code in your grouped headlines template. You very rarely need to do anything with that. It happens automatically  .
Now, what I think you are going to want to start with here is something quite simple. Just open up your headlines template and find where the article titles are appearing. It should just be a link tag with $article.title$ in it. From there try adding in a <br> and then $article.summary$.
Save that and republish. There is definitely going to be some fine tuning after that but this should be a good start.
Give it a shot and let me know how you make out .
