Article Manager Free Upgrades for 30 Days Can't Post

I'm very confused as I had purchased a number of copies of AM for clients during the past couple of years and was under the impression that AM came with FREE UPGRADES FOR LIFE, now I see that you are advertising AM2 with free upgrades for 90 days.

What is the situation for customers who bought AM1 before this new change of terms.

Re: [PP Host] Article Manager Free Upgrades for 30 Days [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi PP Host,

Thanks for the post!

Anyone who purchased a license before August 15 2006 will still be eligable for free upgrades, the 90 day free ugrades only applies to licenses that are purchased after August 15 2006. :)

Does this answer your questions PP Host? If there is anything else that I can help with please feel free to ask!

Re: [ChetW] Article Manager Free Upgrades for 30 Days [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Chet,

Thanks for confirming that you only give 30 days for upgrades. I purchased a copy to have for resale. However I had looked at the AM2 Version 2.02 and for the type of website I have (many article pages have 25 images in sequence), I don't think that version of AM2 is any better. In fact the image upload feature is a disaster. If I upload 25 images it places them randomly and I would have to spend a lot of time to figure out which image is which to get back into sequence. AM1 was fine in this regard, and I loved it.

I was planning to wait and upgrade my version of AM2 when this image upload problem is sorted out. But I have that unused AM2 copy nearly 2 months now and no fix has been released for this problem.

I emailed your support about the problem, and was told to physical go and place all the images, this could add between 15 - 30 minutes to post an article over the AM1 system. I was shocked at this reply, very unprofessional.

Can you tell me what should do about the copy of AM2 I purchased in January? I don't want it as it is. I don't intend to pay for upgrades that may not even fix the problem I outlined.

Is it possible to get a refund?

Thanks Peter

Hi Peter

The image order thing is something that we have been looking into recently and has been something ear marked for an upgrade. It actually has to do with the way that field is saved in your database. As soon as we have a better idea of what will be happening there, we'll be letting everyone know.

Now, if it comes right down to going with that refund, you can send me an email again through support@interactivetools.com (just send it right to us; no forms to fill out just yet) and we'll get the ball rolling on that for you.

A couple things to point out here though would be that you actually get 90 days (3 months) for the upgrades and if you wanted, you can grab a copy of Article Manager 1 using the same ID if you like.

Keep me up to date with what you are thinking Smile.

Re: [ross] Article Manager Free Upgrades for 30 Days [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Ross,

It's my fault, I should have read the terms and not assumed it was the same as previous purchases. Thankfully I spotted the change of terms in time to avail of your excellent 90-day money back guarantee.

I will seek the refund option for that copy and will purchase additional copies of AM as I need them rather than me stocking them.

It's also good that the license can be used for AM1 which I think is bullet proof at this stage.

Thanks - Peter
