Article Manager 2 is that you were hoping? Can't Post

Hello everyone,
Well, I not really agree with the release of AM2 and here is my razon.

1. AM 1.x is much better and functionality (Syndicate, Multiple categories, category templates, etc.)

2. The great news was AM2 will use MySQL, great news, but after 2 years of development just we are getting AM2 with basic functions. I understand that there is a lot of things to do, but it will pass other two o more year to implement.

I was hopping in AM2, some scalability in build communities, comments... more like to Web 2 Well, may I've not checked all features that has AM2 and my comments may are out of this topic, but check yourself and see if AM2 is that your were looking. AM2 is not that I was hoping.

AM 2 is what I was hoping for and more and is, IMHO, a lot better than 1.

1. You can have category templates, you just have to do them a little differently now - via rules. You can have unlimited categories as well (this hasn't changed). And Syndication has been replaced with RSS now, so the end user can get the direct feed which I think is better than a webfeed because the user may or may not click on the link that's posted on another site. Your chances are better through the RSS feed.

If your still wanting to have the syndication, there's a simple tutorial on how to add it here:

2. AM 2 is expandable and has the ability to add "modules", so I am sure they are working on, possibly, comment modules and forum integration modules.

Hi dcalisaya,

Thanks for the post and your critiques!

There is so many new things with Article Manager2 that it may just take a little time to become familiar with all the options that are available to you. :)

A commenting system is something that many of our user would like to see and is a noted feature request that would be a great addition to Article Manager!

If there is anything that you would like to try and set-up with Article Manager but are unsure how we will be more than happy to lend you a hand getting things set-up the way you would like. :)

Does this help? I look forward to hearing back from you.
Cheers,
