Any problem if we use pure CSS tableless templates?

We are considering to use pure CSS based layouts and hence interested to convert all AM 2.0 templates accordingly, the question is "will it be OK?". The reason for question is that in many demonstrations of templates it is normal to see <tr><td> tags for placeholders, it means that a parent table is required. Please clarify if a pure CSS tableless template will work without inheriting any problem from the program. Thanks & regards, almas http://www.st2e.com/

Hi Almas, A pure CSS template layout will work just fine. We've actually talked about making some table-less CSS templates but we just haven't gotten around to it yet. The only source of tables I can think of would be if a user entered them into the content field or cut and paste them from word. And if in the rare even you do get any tags from the program (I can't imagine any) you can let us know and we'd fix it for you right away. We definitely want to support pure css layouts. Be sure to post a link to your site when you're done. We'd love to see it and it would be a great example for other users who want to do table-less designs. Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. You are right we would have to take care of the "word cut & paste problem", may be by disabling html or some other way. Will be in touch with you if there is any program related issue, and as soon as it is live, I will send you the link. Best regards, almas http://www.st2e.com/
