Alphabetical Sorting

I apologize, in advance, if I'm duplicating this subject but I was unable to find anything on this. I would like to have my pages sorted alphabetically by the title instead of by the date & time. Is there a way to do this? *************** Marti Clayton That's Country

Hi there. Thanks for posting! Article Manager 2 actually have a couple different options for sorting your articles. From the sounds of it, the best one for you will be to change the sort order on the articles table itself. Here's how to do it: 1. Log into Article Manager and go to Admin 2. Click on Database Editor and then edit table & fields for your article table. 3. In the Default Sort Fields remove everything and leave title in there by itself. 4. Hit save 5. Go back to Admin and click on Publishing. 6. Hit the Publish All button And you are done. Easy eh? Could you give this a shot and let me know how you make out . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks Ross! I'll try it as soon as I get the program running. I installed it last night after I talked to you and it installed just fine. I made a couple of errors and decided to take the whole thing out and reinstall it. For some reason, I can't get it installed this time and I tried 3 times. I did put in a support request so hopefully, someone will help me out. This is really weird since I've installed AM so many times without a problem. *************** Marti Clayton That's Country

I got online this morning, clicked on the link and the setup menu came on. Wonder if it was just a glitch on the server yesterday or someone at Interactive tools was very quick with my support request???? I followed your suggestion for sorting and it works like a charm. I added a field called "name" where I put the artist's name "first, last" and then put the name "last, first" in the "title" field. Then I changed "article.title" to "article.name" on the template. That way, it's the right way around on the website but still uses the last name for sorting. *************** Marti Clayton That's Country
