500 Internal Server Error when moving AM1 site to new server...

The plan is to upgrade the AM1 site to AM2 after the move, but I need to change the paths etc. Is there a list of what files you have to edit in AM1 to make it work again on a new server with different paths? Hi Nigel, If you're getting a 500 server error, it's almost certainly a permissions issue. The only place you should need to update the server information is *in* Article Manager, it'll still run just fine with incorrect server paths (Well, it won't publish anything, but you'll be able to log in.) :) Donna

Thanks Donna, that sorted it out! :-) It's not a pretty login screen as the new paths need to be set to the images, but it's there. :-) However, I'm now getting a license expired notice for the site (which wasn't happening to it when I was updating it on the older server earlier today). Aren't the AM1 and AM2 licenses eternal? The result of this warning is that it will not let me log in... Thanks! Hi Nigel, From the sounds of it this issue is also related to the permissions but this time on the /data/ folder. It's quite possible that Article Manager just isn't able to read the license out of the files in the /data/ directory. If the permissions look correct for this folder and it's files then it's possible this directory (or a file in it) has become corrupt. If this is the case you can just email your FTP details to support@interactivetools.com and I'll look at this for you. I hope this helps! The folder and enclosed items are all chmodded to 777. I tried reuploading everything too. Any other ideas?! :-) _____________________ For more information about Nigel Parry and nigelparry.net websites please see http://nigelparry.net nigelparry.net: award-winning communications solutions for clients with something to say Website & print design Internet, public relations & media consulting

Hi Nigel, Drop an email to orders@interactivetools.com with a link to the login page giving you the error message, as well as the license key you're using... we can look that up and make sure there isn't any problem on our end. :) Donna

Thanks folks, this is now resolved. After reuploading the data files many times , I uploaded the program files for AM1 itself. That did the trick!
