2.02 MySQL database error

I tested artman 2 on my website a few days ago and successfully upgraded everything from the previous version and moved the data to mysql database as well. Now when I am trying to do the same with version 2.02 I am getting the following error (while moving the data from flat file to mysql database) ================== Error: Database writes are currently disabled while the database is being updated. Please wait a few minutes and try again. (107 seconds remaining on current lock) at (eval 118) line 6, <DATA> line 71. ================== I am at my wits end in solving this bug. Can someone help?

Stag; My apologies for such a simplistic question - but did you delete your previous database after 2.01 was installed? - Mike

Thanks for a prompt reply Mike. I didnt delete the mysql database for version 2.0 but chose to assign a totally new mysql database for version 2.02. Also I updated to 2.02 directly from 2.0. Could that be a reason?

Stag; Don't think so, unless the upgrade wasn't successful. But if your far enough along that your converting your 1.41 database - that couldn't be it. Ummm...Are you converting the flat file from 2.0 or upgrading the file directly 1.41 using the upgrade utility? - Mike

You might also want to moving the data again and see if it works smoothly the second time. What happens is we lock the database while moving data from one place to another to prevent anyone from updating the data. You shouldn't get that error, though, unless you're using multiple browsers or reloading the page before it's done or something like that. If it keeps happening send in a support request and we can take a look and sort it out for you. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
