What hosts meet requirements?

I've used www.godaddy.com and www.readyhosting.com, have been satisfied with them both, especially readyhosting, but neither seem to meet the requirements for Article Manager. Can you recommend any US hosts that do? Thanks!

Hi djkeenan, Thank you for posting! :) There's actually a thread in another forum where several users have recommended web hosts they've had good experiences with. Many of these hosts are located in the US. You can read the post here: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/P4506/ I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions please feel free to let me know! :) Luke Holzken Product Development

Ready Hosting, my favorite hosting service, responded to a techinal ticket where I posted all AM requirements. Below is their response: "The software will work, but the one thing you will need to make sure of is that it can call to an SMTP server to send the mail if you need to. Sendmail is not on any server but if it can call to an SMTP server in the script, your good to go." Can you tell me what this all means to me? As soon as I find the host, I'm ready to buy AM. THANKS.

Hi, Thanks for the post! Article Manager has the ability to send out email notifications to your users when articles are created, modified, etc. There are two different ways Article Manager can do this (using two different types of mail programs on the server). From what your host has said, it sounds like one of the two mail notification options will work so you should be able to use Article Manager on that server. If you do get it on the server and it for some reason it doesn't meet the requirements you can always move it to a different server that will meet the requirements. That said, it seems like this server should be able to support an Article Manager installation. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! We use www.intermedia.net -- they have excellent customer support and their services are the best we've had.
