Domain registration and hosting Can't Post

Hi all,

it has been suggested in a previous thread that it is better/smarter to register your domain name at one site and use a different site for hosting.

OK, easy to do, but how do you tie the two together? Do you use 'forwarding' or is there an alternative approach.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: [BeerFizz] Domain registration and hosting [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Phil.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the board!

Although I am not really an expert on setting this part up, from what I can tell, you just need to let the people you buy the web hosting from what your domain name is, and they’ll get everything hooked up for you.

I think the best thing to do would be just to double check with your host to see what they say.

If anyone else can shed some more light on this, that would be great!

I use Godaddy.com to register my domains they have great prices and service. its easy there to eather forward a domain or point it to your host with DNS

I use getstacked.com as my host they have top notch support and they are listman users there themselves
