Hi, Will the search engine search forum messages as well - or is it limited to static html pages? Ian

Hi Ian, The Search Engine is limited to static pages, so unless you have a forum that can publish it's threads as static pages it won't be able to search them. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

Okay thanks. BTW - as the search engine duplicates a lot of what Article Manager search does - is there a discount for AM customers? Seems like it is a worthwhile purchase for other people, but not so for AM customers, especially when we paid $100 more :( than it is now... Ian

Did you want to use Search Engine for Article Manager instead of it's built in search engine? What were you trying to do that you couldn't do with Article Manager's search engine? Regarding discount, you'd need to email sales@interactivetools.com. They'd be able to tell you what they can do and probably give you some other good suggestions as well. If we dropped the price within 30 days of when you bought it's likely they'll give you a credit. But you'll have to ask them, I'm not the guy. : ) Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com

Whilst the price went on offer within the 30 days, sadly it only went officially to the newer price after another 30 days or so :( Only for it to search my other static pages outside of AM. I have quite a few other sections not under AM, so of course the built in engine will not pick them up. Ian

Ian, I'll take a look into that for you and send you a email. I guess the simplest way (for the user) to set it up is to use Search Engine to search all the content. Otherwise, you'd have one search engine for Article Manager articles and one for the other pages on your site. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
