I am thinking of purchasing the SE for my website. I have a php based website which generates the pages dynamically (products only) from a mysql database. The rest of the pages are php based (with php includes) but these are mainly statis pages. Would it be possible to use the SE for all the searches .. even for those products which are dbase-driven?

Hi sandro, Thanks for the forum post . Search Engine is designed to be a low-cost and simple way to add search functionality to a website. While it's great at what it's designed to do, maintaining the low license cost requires search engine to only search static pages on the web server, so any dynamically generated content won't be searched. Search Engine can search static pages very well, so if you want to use it for static pages and something else for your dynamic content you're more than welcomed to do so. I hope this helps. If you have other questions please let me know. Cheers, Eric Lau - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
