Searching Job Manager Results

Hi, We want to use Search Engine to provide search results for a Job Manager installation. However, when we search the published output from Job Manager for a keyword that we know exists in one of the job listings, the SE results provide a link back to the page filename only . . . and that obviously contains all the listings. (Note that I'm referring to the Full Index file here, not the job listing detail page - our setup requires that those be password protected). Is there any way (such as with tags) that we can get results that link directly to the relevant job listing on the index page, rather than the whole page? Thanks in anticipation. Gary

Hi Gary, Thanks for your email. :) The only way I can think of doing this would be to modify the search templates so that the search query showed up as an anchor link. So, you'd have something like this:
$title_he$ The only problem with that is that the search query would have to match what you had set as the exactly, or it wouldn't do any good. But, you could always set a few of the more common searches that you might expect to reach that job search so that most users would get the correct link, even if the more uncommon searches didn't work. The Search Engine reports in the admin section might come in handy for seeing what your users are actually searching for. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :) Donna
