Search results include public_html

Hi - I've just installed SE and run a first search on it. It produces the search results page fine, but I think I must have setup the URL/path settings incorrectly. It finds the pages but then links to them including the 'public_html', which means that when you click on the link to go look at a result page it can't then find it. Does that make sense?

Hi Steve, Thanks for the post! You were right on track when you said you'll just want to make a change to the URL/path settings in Search Engine's Setup Options. It sounds like the change you'll want to make has to do with the Base Search Dir in the Setup Options as well as the Directory to Search in your default category in the Category Editor. For both Base Search Dir and Directory to Search it looks like you'll just need to direct Search Engine to your webroot. Without taking a look at your server I can't be sure, but you may have something that looks like this right now: /usrs/home/yoursite.com/ This means that all of the directories in the /yoursite.com/ directory will be searched. What you'll want to change it to is this: /usrs/home/yoursite.com/public_html/ You'll just want to add /public_html/ for both Base Search Dir and Directory to Search. If you change these search directories you should find that Search Engine will only search through the files in /public_html/ and won't include this as part of the URL. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! Cheers, Mike Briggs - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks Mike - I'd edited the Setup Options, but it hadn't fixed it. The Category Editor was the bit that I hadn't found! Regards, Steve.
