Search adding character entities to results page

The pages being searched have headings like Castine Cemetery-A-Ag. the - is in the html code as entity code – so when the results page comes up it will look like this:
Castine Town Cemetery Listing –A-Ag
and it should be:
Castine Town Cemetery Listing -A-Ag
Anyway to correct this?
