Hello there, I have a problem with my search-engine script in my MOTHERTONGUE (greek)and as a result I get: for example "Your search for Γλυφάδα did not match any documents. No pages were found containing Γλυφάδα." Is there anyone that can help me? www.intros.gr Communication & Advertising

Hi, Thanks for the post! Similar to your Page Publisher post (http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=47810;#47810) I'm having a bit of trouble recreating the problem especially without being able to take a look at the site that you're currently working on. If you can direct me to the site you're working on and a sample search term you've been using I'd be happy to have a look at this for you. I look forward to hearing from you! Hi Spyros, You may want to try enabling euro characters inside the search engine admin. To do this follow the steps below: - Login to your admin section, and select 'Setup Options'. - Underneath "Search Settings" check off 'Convert Euro Chars?'. All your characters should be searchable now. Give this a try Spyros and let ne know how it works our for you! Cheers, Chet Woodside - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Chet, I try the "Search settings" that you said and we solve one of the problems but not all. Changing these settings I achive to get back results but when the results appears the greek characters still not viewed properly. I already made a page "search_results.html" inside the /search/templates/ with greek character set but nothing happen. I thing that we must change something inside the script and I need you help for this. Thank you in advance, www.intros.gr Communication & Advertising

Hi Spyros. Would you mind attaching your search_results.html template to a post so I can try it out myself? If you wanted, you can also just email that to me through support@interactivetools.com. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Dear Ross and all other guys of interactivetools Product Specialists, Donna sent me a mail at 21/07/2006 and she had wrote
Hi Spyros, > > Thanks for your email. :) > > It looks like Search Engine isn't able to find any results right now, as > there are 0 documents being indexed, so it's not able to find any results > due to that. You'll want to log into the back end and configure it (via the > category editor) to what files it's allowed to index. > > Once it has some files to index, let us know and we can take another look. > :) > > > Best Regards, > Donna > > > Donna Brown<http://www.interactivetools.com/common/team/donna.gif> > Donna Brown- Product Specialist > Toll free: 1-800-752-0455 > Email: support@interactivetools.com > Direct: (604) 629-0232 - Meet the I can not understand what she wrote and I sent her back at 23/07/2006 the following
Hi Donna, Thanks for your replay but I can not understand what you mean when you say that you are not able to find any results. The site is online now without the search engine that we already paid, and this is because we can not find out what has happened with the greek letters. Also when I search for an english word, I find it, but when I search for a greek word, the results that have been returned are ALL with other characters than greek. Major problem for Greeks. So I suggest you try the following link: http://freemotion.gr/search/exec/search.cgi And try to search for the word that is captured with the green border which actually is the word "Γλυφάδα". Notice: With the red border is the wrong answer. And I attach for you the picture because if you try to read the messages that are at the bottom of this, you didn't see Anywhere that "0 documents have being indexed" as you said to me now. I want someone of you to answer me what will happen with the search engine I paid for. I am a professional and this situation is jeopardizing my reputation and has brought my company in a very difficult and uncomfortable situation. Please do something as soon as possible. Thank you in advance and I wait for your answer, Spyridon Kolokotronis MIET BEng Computer Systems Engineer Nobody answer to me all these days and I notice to you that I have a Major problem. Can you please give to mean answer because I am in a very difficult situation with my client? Notice that I have already pay for this module and I wait for the support that you advertise in your site. Thank you www.intros.gr Communication & Advertising
