Search Engine product survey
I've posted a product survey for Search Engine using the same system we used with the Article Manager survey. It won't take more than a minute, so if you guys can take some time to fill it out we'd definitely appreciate it. http://www.interactivetools.com/products/surveys/searchengine.html If you want, you can use this thread to post any explanations or qualifications of your answers, and ensure that if you have more to say that we'll hear it. Theo, This is not to offend, but to try to change something for the better: The only thing at ITools that sucks are these surveys!... I own 3 ITools, am about to buy the 4th... and they are all GREAT and you guys are SUPER and the support is TOPS but these surveys... man!, please, don't do this!... they dumb us all down!... ITools and you guys and users... IMHO of course! Regards, Joao

No offense taken. Fortunately the surveys are completely optional, so only users who want to participate fill them out. I'm sorry that you find them objectionable, but they are helpful in gauging the importance and value that our customers place on the products. Theo Wiersma Project Manager

Hi Theo, (hope you don't mind I am reposting this here...) "Hate" might be a little too strong, but they are not "likeable," no... far from that... far..... too far!? Let me see... Have you tried filling one of those forms, whithout standing on your side of the request? I mean, from the point of view of the user? Do they make sense to you? Are the options available enough (I know that no survey can cover all the broad variety of situations, but, even on a narrowed down basis, but, I was saying,) do you feel they are enough to even cover the basics? What is the purpose of this survey model ITools seems to be using? Would it be something better obtained via a new forum?... I have tried to fill them out... always hit the wall. No way... unless I am providing you with bogus info, which, out of a lack of respect for ITools, I will not do, as it would be misleading. You guys deserve better indicators of what we users are and are doing and whatever info you need, I am sure you can get with plain talk, from this faithful user base we are - hack!, there aren't many companies providing this kind of service and support, and I am almost sure that those who happen to find you... stay, and play honest and fair and want to provide you with the best info so you can keep on with the best work! One exemple: Is anyone out there buying scripts once a week, month, year? Yeah, people do change their tools... but why? how? on what basis, does not seem to me to get answered by these surveys. If you guys are hitting the wall with the number of scripts sold, pricing system, etc., and you can't keep up, you can tell us. If you are in trouble, we are in trouble! If you need a different updating/upgrading process, so you can increase your cash flow, let us know. The contract was, at purchase time, free for life... but if it so happens you guys can't keep up and life gets sucked out of ITools... we all "die" so to speak... I just feel these surveys do not gather correct infomation and are misleading. I am not used to "misleading" at ITools, nor being dumbed down, nor dumbing you guys down - I am used to the best community support and communication and the best scripts. So, I am raising my hand and asking for just that... If I am the only complaining... tell me to shut up and get off this soap box!... Warm regards, and thanks for asking! Joao

Keep in mind that your experiences may be quite different from those of other users. Lots of our customers purchase multiple programs - not for themselves, but for THEIR customers or clients. Also, many users don't really have much interest in taking part in these forums but are happy to fill out an anonymous surveys. It's definitely not meant to replace dialogues like this, and it's not meant to answer more than a very narrow set of questions - not dumbed down, but focused. So although the feedback you might want to include are missing from the surveys, feel free to post them here or email them to me. That's what the forum is for! :) Theo Wiersma Project Manager
