Search Directories Protected by .htaccess

Hello there, We are considering using the Search Engine but about 50% of our content is hidden behind a "Members Only" portal that is currently protected by an .htaccess password. Is there any way to configure the Search Engine to access these folders? I can't find anything in the documentation or this forum. Thanks! Denis Grey Royal Astronomical Society of Canada www.rasc.ca

Hi Dennis! Since Search Engine indexes everything on a server level, the password protection won't keep it out -- it'll have no problem indexing files both in the public and private areas, but of course anyone who tries to click on a password protected page will still have to enter in the username & password. :) I hope this helps! :) Donna
