Is the search engine able to index, or spider by going to a site map page? I use wordpress currently and all my pages are stored in a mysql database, and they are created on the fly.

Hi msanders5, Thanks for posting and welcome to the discussion forum! Search Engine is designed to be able to search static pages on the web server, so any dynamically generated content won't be searched. Search Engine can still search through static ASP pages, and others like PHP or HTML, but when there is a dynamically generated page Search Engine will not be able to access it. For example, Search Engine will have no trouble going through this page: www.yoursite.com/content.asp But it wouldn't be able to go through this page: www.yoursite.com/content.asp?ID=123456 I hope that helps! If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to let me know :) Regards, Cliff Stefanuk - Customer Service Manager support@interactivetools.com

okay .. well since it doesn't support it, when will you add support for db driven sites. Most decent pages are all going db driven. Look at smarty and other templating engines, all db driven. so, when can we expect that release? ill buy it the day of release.

Hi bmacer. Thanks for posting! We don’t actually have a release date for the next version of Search Engine or even a list of features for it. We are focusing all out development time right now on Article Manager 2.0 which is on schedule for February 2006. Once that’s done we’ll be able to get a better idea of what’s going to happen next. If you were to signup for our newsletter on the main page of our site, we’ll keep you as up to date as possible. How does that sound? Let me know if you have anymore questions . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
