SE ignores php echo content

Hi, We use SE to search a site for one of our customers. The site is a mixture of html and php files. I noticed that SE ignores content in php echo commands. Is that intented behaviour (what a shame! ) or can it be adjusted through the settings? Thanks, Joep CompuBase, webdesign

Hi Joep. Thanks for posting! Search Engine is setup to search through any static content on your pages and echo statements are actually going to fall under the dynamic content. I imagine that you have the content in echo statements so that you can output php variable content so what I am thinking could work is take out all the plain text from your echo statement and put it on the page as HTML and then have the echo statement just output the variable value. Does that sound like it’s going to work? Let me know what you think . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Thanks Ross for your reply, Your suggestion is exactly what we have done so far. It is a lot of work though. Since SE is not searching in the http respond but on actual files I can see why script parts are ignored. Thanks, Joep CompuBase, webdesign
