Meta Description Tag Not Displayed In Results

Hello InteractiveTools Users and Staff,
I am preparing to use Search Engine on my website, but I find that the search results do not display the contents of the Meta Description tag. I have carefully crafted these Meta Description tags on each webpage to make search results readable and informative. Other search engines will display the text of the Meta Description tag below the Title of the page in search results, but the InteractiveTools Search Engine insists on displaying "...the first xxx characters of displayed webpage text" instead of the contents of the Meta Description tag.
It seems that Search Engine is aware of the Meta Description tag, because we can specify a search weight factor for the Meta Description, but that seems to be the end of that tag in Search Engine.
Are there any settings in Search Engine, or any search results template adjustments I can make so that the results of the Meta Description tag will be displayed in the search results?

Hi Bill,
Thank you for the forum post. Happy New Year! 
You can customize the look and feel of the search result pages by modifying the /templates/search_results.html file. I examined the documentation, http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/searchengine/, for the placeholder that will display Meta Description tag information. Unfortunately, Search Engine right now does not support meta description tag display in search results.
I will make a note of your feature request and pass it to the development team. I cannot make any guarantees, but hopefully the feature will be implemented in a future release.
