Frontpage - shared border files

Does any know how (apart from through category_list_files) a quicker way of ignoring the vti_cnf, vti_pvf, etc /directory and files that Frontpage creates in every directory using shared borders. This is creating lots of unwanted and pretty useless search results. I do support the need for a checkbox option as this would be one way of quickly removing these files. Thanks

Hi Matt_D Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum! I find the best way to ignore an entire directory is to select it through the Category Editor. When you click on Category Editor there is an option for 'Files' If you click on this, you will get a new window that opens up, and it should have a full list of all the files and directories that your category is setup to search. You will see two columns, one with the path to the file or directory, and one for the action. All you need to do is find the specific directory that you want to ignore, and click on the 'ignore this dir' link. The link should dissapaear and you should see 'directory is in ignore list' after you click this. This works for files and entire directories. Give that a go, and let me know if that is the solution that you are looking for Regards, Cliff Stefanuk - Customer Service Manager support@interactivetools.com
