Can I display a list of recent search terms?!

I have a little 'empty' real estate on my search results page and it occurred to me that I could perhaps include say the last 10 search words in that void (pulled from the report list of the last 100 successful terms)! I've had a trawl around the forum and can't see any reference to this. Would it be possible??!! If not, my alternative is to display a list of headlines (as per my home page) but this would require the search_results page to be shtml instead of html (as I'm using an SSI to display the headlines) - I tried this but get an error that the template cell (or row) is not defined and I'm guessing that search.cgi is hard-coded to look for search_results.html ....?? I couldn't find any reference to this on any of the pages or in the search engine admin.! Thanks Regards Kerry Kerry

Hi Kerry, Thanks for posting. Search Engine doesn't really have a way to query the report lists form the search script itself, that's more for the backend Administration section so I'm afraid that this isn't going to be possible. In dynamic pages like the search and search results, SSI will not be recognized. Since these pages don't actually have a static page that you refer to, it's not possible to use include files such as SSI or other server side scripting functions. Unfortunately, it's the nature of dynamic content that doesn't allow for this. So while we've managed to code a work around for this in Article Manager, it's not been implemented in Search Engine just yet. I hope that helps explain.
