add more color to the WYSIWYG plate Can't Post

Is there other colors that can be chosen from the color plate on the WYSIWYG?
How come I only have these few colors? Where can I add more colors?
I have attched a picture of my current color plate.

Hi David.

Thanks for posting!

What I think will work quite well for you here is using stylesheets instead of the usual font options. By using styles you’ll have complete control over what colors are available so you won’t need to worry about adding new options to the popup window. Here’s a link to the tutorial for setting that up:

Have a look and let me know what you think Smile.

Hello Russ,
Thanks for your reply.

However, we do not intend to fix the font & style selection to our client's site.
We will let them have the freedom of making their own content page as they desire.

So, what we want to do is to have a pop up window that shows its selection of spectrum as attched color2.jpg

I remenber before I add the Uploading images within the WYSIWYG editor and
Paste from Word" button into the WYSIWYG editor the pop up window used to have all colors of selection like color2.jpg.

How would I correct this to let the pop up look like color2.jpg?

Re: [davidwu] add more color to the WYSIWYG plate [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi David.

The screenshot you attached to your post is actually of an older version of Page Publisher that used a different WYSIWYG editor. So the reason the two color pallets look different is related to that.

There is a way to edit what colors appear in the new editor’s color list though. Open up “/pp/images/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/jscripts/color_picker.js”. The large list of colors here is what appears in the pop up by default. Feel free to change these around as you need to. There are two things to keep in mind. First, the colors here are all in hex values so you’ll need to do the same with yours. Second, you can add more to the list if you like but it does end up pushing the buttons and things off the page if you have too many.

Does that make sense? Have a go and let me know how you make out Smile.
