Unable to Access TinyMCE Functions within WYSIWYG editor Can't Post

After installing Page Publisher, I can modify content within WYSIWYG editor with the exception of the TinyMCE functions;

ie Select Text Color, Select Background Color, Insert/Edit Image etc.

When any of these functions are selected, a popup window appears with a 404 error.

I have called on this several times but I have not heard anything back so I thought I would try posting to a forum to see if someone can help.

Hi there,

I'd be happy to take a look at this for you, but I'll need your FTP information before I can continue. You can fill in a support request here, and we can take a look for you. :)

Thanks! I look forward to helping you. :)

Hi Donna,

You already have all of this information. Please query sales@getamotorcycle.com. We spoke on Friday and you said you had it.

Thanks

Michael

I think there must have been a miscommunication -- when we spoke on Friday, I think I was asking you to send it, not letting you know that we had it. If you fill out the support request with your FTP information, I can take a look at that for you shortly.

Hi Donna,

Everything seems to be working now. You will have to let me know what you did as this is the first of many page publisher sites we will be setting up. I have one more question. Can you direct me to some good resources within Page publisher that walks me through how to allow users to browse there local machines for images instead of the default "Insert/edit image" box in which the user must know the url to the image. (You also mentioned on Friday something about a tutorial being added). This is the last feature which I must deploy.

Thx

Michael

Hi Michael,

I think you might not be receiving emails I've sent to you, as I sent several to you with requests for the FTP information last week. Here's what I emailed you earlier, which was the solution to the problem you were having:

It looks like Page Publisher was looking for the images directory inside the cgi-bin -- normally, servers won't serve up any non-dynamic files from the cgi-bin directory. Your server was allowing images, but not the html files required for the popups and other wysiwyg functionality.

However, you already had the /pp/images directory uploaded in your document root, so I changed Page Publisher to point to that directory instead, and it appears to be working now.

The tutorial I mentioned on Friday will be in the next newsletter (available in the next week or so.) It's not quite complete yet, so I can't give a sneak preview of it. :)
