Ramifications of dropping PP & compare to CMS

I just read in the newsletter that PP is being dropped. I had purchased a package of 5 a couple of years ago and have only used 2 of them. I'm wondering if I'll be able to use them when/if I'm ready and if there'll continue to any support for those of us with it installed? I just did the CMS video and it left me unclear. It seems like if I'm designing the site and adding CMS in, it's not very different from PP is it? Is there a comparison chart somewhere? Thanks, Sheila

Hi Sheila, thanks for your post. Yes, you will certainly be able to use any Page Publisher's you've bought previously. They're yours and will work just as they always have. And yes we'll continue to give you support for them even if we don't sell them anymore. You're right that CMS Builder is very similar to Page Publisher. It serves the same basic purpose, but lets you do a lot more and has some extra features. You can update single pages (like Page Publisher) but also create "list pages" (news release, jobs, events, products, etc). You can upload photo galleries, and the wysiwyg also has an image upload built in. If you wanted to trade up you could exchange some unused (never installed) PP licenses (we'd just give you credit for what you paid towards another product). Alternatively, the 10 day free trial is another way to try it out. Dave Edis - Senior Developer interactivetools.com
