Link Back banners & link pages Can't Post

Good day:
After doing a search on image_select I don't really see a solution to my problem or I missed it.

The Problem:

As part of the template I've constructed to use your software a links page also known as a link back page is required.
http://paige.independentescort.info/links.htm(do a view source to see how I have it set up). I have Link PML Tags embedded in the page and my users will have little trouble figuring that out. However, my users will also have to deal with link back banners. Which usually takes the form of two ways.

1) They are required to do a "save as" to their system and upload the graphic of the site they are linking to on to your own server. Then use html to link the graphic back to the site in question. Sometimes that back link is unique to them so to track their return traffic. This is not an issue that's what copy and paste is for into a link box.

2) The other method is you are given the banner url and the link back url often in cut and past code to place on your site.

My problem is, using the PML Tag image_select I can upload a graphic to my users upload directory (thank you past board posts on how to do that) but I can't seem to attach html code to that link. If all our clients link backs would be text we wouldn't have a problem but not so. Keep in mind our demographic is what AOL was designed for and I.D ten "T" errors are common. Cool

How do I using PML tags as you have provided and not resorting to using a type="wysiwyg" tag make this work and be simple for our clients. This is critical since link back pages are elementary in the industry we are providing free web sites to.

Re: [sentinel] Link Back banners & link pages [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Sentinel,

Try adding this to your image_selection tag:

allowlink="yes"

With allowlink="yes", image_select will have a new field, "Link To". The published image will link to the URL path you put in that Update field.

Let me know if that's what you're looking for. :)

Re: [Donna] Link Back banners & link pages [In reply to] Can't Post

Donna:

I'm so sorry, I don't see how I missed it in the documentation. I was using "allow url" and completely missed allow link.

Don't I feel stupid.Crazy

Thank for your help it now works and I can finish up this project and get this site deployed and templates finished.
