Two strange differences between different browsers

After implementing over the past few months AM on two of my websites, I have now begun to use NM on another one. It took me only one hour of playing and testing in order to customize the template and adjust it to my website. Well, the previous experience with AM obviously helped! Just two small, bizarre things - I don't know if you have a solution in mind. This has to do with browsers. Of course, I am aware that one does not get the same results with all browsers, but here are small things which I had not expected. 1) While the titles are left-aligned (according to the way I have configured them) with IE and with Netscape, there is a small mystery with Opera. Some of the titles are centered, while other ones are correctly left-aligned. No consistency. Only with Opera! But since I like myself to use Opera, if somebody would have a way to solve the problem, this would be much appreciated. 2) Conversely, both Opera and Netscape correctly get the content (i.e. summary or content) justified. But IE puts the content left-aligned! Strange, isn't it? See it by yourself on my test page: http://www.religion.info/nm/publish/ If somebody on this forum knows a way to force all three major browsers to get the correct result, this would be appreciated. The second issue is not really annoying, the first one is. Since those instructions work correctly with AM, I assume there is a way to make them working with NM too. Anyway, excellent product! Thank you!

Hi tribulatio! Thanks for your post. :) Well, in IE & Mozilla at least, your page looks really good. I don't have Opera installed here, so I couldn't even begin to tell what would be going wrong with that. I might recommend poking through one of my favorite HTML References that has a lot of good information on the differences between browser -- the author of the site even works for Opera now. Try this site: http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/ I hope that this helps. :) Donna

Thank you for the info about that website, which was not known to me. I will try to do some research there in order to understand why there is that small, strange problem. Anyway, not a major one. Regards. Tribulatio

In case somebody experiences the same problem, I have found a way to solve it: the centering of the title happened actually only for those titles which were less than an entire line long. Apparently, it caused the cell contained the title to become centered by default with Opera. In order to solve the problem, I extended the weidth of the cell to 100% with my HTML editor, while indicating aleft alignment as default for the title itself. This solved the problem, outlook is now correct with all browsers.
