Session Expired Errors

Hi, I am installing a copy of News Manager for a client, but I am automatically getting logged off every 30 seconds or so: 'Session Expired You've been automatically logged off due to inactivity. If you think you've received this message in error please make sure you have javascript and cookies enabled.' I am running version 1.13. I have re-installed twice, but still have the same issue. Do you have any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks. Ray

Hi Ray, Thanks for posting. Usually this problem comes up when the time on your computer is set incorrectly, or the time or your server has been set incorrectly. The time is used by the News Manager cookie to track login activity, so if there's a discrepancy between the server time and the time on your PC, you'll see this error. Daylight Savings Time went into effect recently, so that could be the culprit here. If you want, you can adjust the login activity timeout under "Setup Options" - by default it's set to 60 minutes. Let us know if you need anything else! ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Jake Swanson - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Jake, Thanks, I hadn't spotted that in the Setup Options. I have have set this to 'Login Inactivity Timeout - None' and that seems to have done the trick. Thanks. Ray
