News manager Can't Post

HI,

we have recently purchased news manager, this software is really helping us keep the news section upto date. I have a couple of questions maybe you can help me

1) if I want to update to sections of the site saywith list of interesting articles and another section with latest news. How do that?

2) I want to keep an archive of the old posts say I keep the latest 5 news posts on the news page hen if someone wants to see all the news posts since day one he can "click for more" and find the full list.

How can this be done?

Thank you
Wicked

Re: [wickedredstar] News manager [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi wickedredstar,

Thank you for the forum post Smile.

Having two separate article section can be done if you have two installations of News Manager. Since you are using two live installations, you will need to purchase a separate license of News Manager for that purpose. Alternatively you can upgrade to Article Manager and it has the capapbility to separate articles to different categories.

Since News Manager doesn't come with its own search tool, I am afraid you cannot archive or display only a pre-definied number of articles. Article Manager, on the other hand, has archiving and search features that will work for you.

If you'd like, you can upgrade News Manager to Article Manager and only pay the difference ($170 US as of Dec 23, 2003), taking advantage of the 90-day money-back guarantee. If that is what you want you can submit a News Manager refund form and an Article Manager order form. Once I have received the forms I can get on it right away.

Alternatively, you can try News Manager and see if it servers your needs. You can always get Article Manager later if that is what you want.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.
Cheers,
