News Manager Posting Multiple Files
Can't Post

Hi, Is there anyway that I can post multiple images files into one news posting? Btw, I tried to upload .pdf file and created a link (e.g. <a href="/doc/200408021.pdf" target="_blank">manual.pdf</a>) in the news content. It showed up as a missing image. Is there any work around with this? Thank you for your help! CT

Hi CT, Thanks for posting! :) Unfortunately it's not possible to upload more than one image per article with News Manager. Ycan only upload one file per article, and if you do upload a PDF file it will be output using an image tag, resulting in a broken image. If you only wanted to upload PDF files, and not images, one option would be to add an image template cell to your _article.html template file that uses a hyperlink tag rather than an image tag. For example, you could add this: <!-- templatecell : image --> <a href="$image$">Click here to view PDF</a> <!-- /templatecell : image --> The draw back with this option is images will also no longer be output in your articles, you will only be able to link to them. While News Manager doesn't support these features, Article Manager does. With Article Manager you can upload as many as 25 images per article, and place them anywhere in the content. You can even upload PDF files and link to them from your article summaries. If you're interested in Article Manager you can always exchange News Manager and just pay the difference. You can view a list of Article Manager's features here: http://www.interactivetools.com/products/articlemanager/features.html In the mean time, if you have any other questions please let me know. :) Luke Holzken Product Development
