A new version of News Manager is available. This is a recommended upgrade. The new features are: - improved file system error checking when rewriting database files. This will assist in preventing data loss if your hard drive is full. - improved filelock handling - filelock timeouts can be configured via config.ini You can download the upgrade from http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/ /Dave Lo

There is a bug with the "htmlArea" feature. NM, is calling tempalte with the wrong spelling of the "htmlarea" instead of"htmlArea" URL. See posting in this forum and temporary fix, until new version is release....

Hi Noza, Thanks for your post. The problem isn't the program calling the wrong folder name, but the folder being named wrong -- the folder should be "htmlarea" in all lower case -- this is how it's setup in all of our products using the WYSIWYG editor, including Job Manager. As neither the full release version or the upgrade have this problem, I'm not entirely sure how you ended up having the folder misnamed. Donna

Wrong, read the title of the post we're talking News Manager and the folder iN FACT comes label in the YOUR ZIP -which I just downloaded again to confirm- as "htmlArea" but the script calls for the location at "htmlarea" which should be the right name, which I fixed You got a bug in the News Manager ZIP! Thank you, Pat

Hi Pat, Yes, you're right -- there's a typo in the filename. :) It'll be fixed in the next release. Let me know if you have any other questions. Donna
