Job manager - additional features

Job Manager could do with the addition of "Email this vacancy to a friend" and "Printer-friendly version", similar to the features incorporated in Article Manager on the article pages. Is this possible? Regards Brian

Hi Brian! Thanks for your post. :) You could certainly have an "email this post to a friend" link that would work exactly the same way as Article Manager's. Article Manager's is simply an email link with the URL encoded into the body. So... you could add this to your Job Manager templates:
Email this article Of course replacing the website address to your own website and path to the directory in which your posting appears. The printer friendly version isn't possible, I'm afraid. Let me know if that works for you. :) Cheers! Donna Donna

Aaand... now to reply to myself. :) Luke pointed me at another post that might help with the printer-friendly page bit: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum.cgi?post=876 Also, I thought I'd mention -- you can put pretty much any placeholder into the above link, so if you wanted to add a bit more information about it (like, the summary tag -- $summary$) you could. Just be careful, as anything put into that that is very long won't work. Also, this requires your visitors email program to be setup correctly. Let me know if you have any questions. :) Cheers! Donna Thanks - the emailing feature works just fine. I note the other reference, which I will follow up. In any case, perhaps Interactive Tools could consider adding the the emailing and printer friendly functions to subsequent releases of Job Manager (and News Manager). Regards Brian
