If there are several users that post news, is it possible to put the users login name near the time stamp of the news article?

Although News Manager doesn't support this feature, you could do something similar to this with Article Manager. With Article Manager you can enter the writers name into the Author field and then have it output right next to the time stamp of the news article.

If you wanted to do something similar with News Manager you could always place the authors name into the Summary or Content fields and then have the main text output just below the authors name.
