Hi, Just working my way around News Manager as a new install. Can you tell me if it is possible within the software, to link directly, in a new window, to an external URL within the Title or Summary tags? Many thanks!

Hi Andy Thanks for posting and welcome to the board! Getting external links going will be a little tricky because with News Manager, you have a set number of fields to work with. If there was a field that you didn't use right now, you could covert that so let me know :). ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Ross, The title tag would perhaps be the best field to link to an external URL within a blank window. Don't know if that's possible, but would be very useful. Then I could have the title as the link, with a brief description of the target. I assume Article Manager would be able to do this task, but for now, if News Manager could be configured to carry this out, it would be fine for now. Thanks guys!

Hi Andy Thanks for getting back in touch! I think I didn't quite explain one thing the last time I posted . When you are going to switch a field over to the URL you need, you would basically be removing that field. So if you were to use the title tag, you wouldn't have a title anymore. It would just be a link. Does that make sense? Let me know what you think . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com

Hi Ross, Thank you for that. Short term, that would probably be ok. I'd wrap a link around a text description if possible. Long term, Article Manager is looking a better investment for the things we're intending to do. Cheers Ross!
